Castor Oil
A natural emollient, promotes softer skin & provides a protective barrier.
Citric Acid
Helps balance PH levels ~ also used in bath bombs for fizziness.

Creamy emollient & conditioner - I do not use this in any facial product as it is a very heavy butter and may clog delicate facial pores.
Coconut Oil
Promotes silky hair & scalp conditioner, contains antiseptic fatty acids which promote healthier skin in lotions & creams.
Epsom Salt
Soaking improves circulation & soothes sore muscles, used as an exfollient in body polish.  If you are diabetic, please consult your doctor prior to use.

FAQ's
Why is handmade soap better for your skin?
Handmade soap contains all of the glycerine which is naturally produced through the soapmaking process.  Commercial companies remove most of this natural humectant from their soaps to be sold for use in other bodycare products.  Also, there are more specialized varieties of soaps available than with commercially produced and contain a variety of natural ingredients such as heavy cream, goatsmilk, oatmeal, honey, essential oils & flowers such as Lavender or Calendula and can be made to your personal preference.

Why should I use BGBC body care products?
My handmade bodycare products do not contain many of the unnecessary chemicals & filler ingredients as those commercially produced.  While I do not make any "all natural" claims, these products are actually 96-97.5% natural.  Chemical preservatives are a necessary ingredient as there is NO natural, FDA approved preservative yet available for these type products.  I use a paraben- free preservative at the minimum level required (1%) to prevent the growth of unwanted, potentially dangerous microorganisms.

When did you start making these products?
Blue Goddess Body Care was born in February 2002 by simply searching for an outlet to express my more creative side and relax after a long workday. I started by researching products, ingredients and recipes on the internet and have met a lot of talented, helpful & friendly people from around the world along the way.

Where are you located?
Blue Goddess Body Care is located in Madison, WI.
